Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas shocked the world with their divorce, and the Game of Thrones actress then stunned fans once again, when she was seen out with Joe’s very famous ex, Taylor Swift. And now, the Eras star has stepped up once again, helping Turner in her divorce.
The music star and Game of Thrones actress announced their split via Instagram, saying they “mutually decided to amicably end our marriage” after four years. As Joe embarks on his mammoth tour with the Jo’ Bros by his side, it looks like Sophie has celebrity friends by her side too.
Taylor Swift reportedly loans Sophie Turner an apartment
It’s been reported by Page Six that Taylor Swift has loaned her New York City apartment to the actress and her two daughters.
In photos obtained by the Daily Mail, Turner can be seen leaving the superstar’s Tribeca townhouse with her two daughters. It comes just after Jonas and Turner’s youngest daughter’s name was revealed through court docs.
It’s not the first time Sophie and Taylor have been seen together. The pair made headlines when they were spotted joining forces in New York, as a picture went viral on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The two walked arm in arm as the Bad Blood singer stunned in a long denim coat and high boots, whereas Turner, 27, opted for a chic grey crop top and matching trousers.
Fans couldn’t get enough of the meetup of the two, as one penned: “They knew they had the chance to do the funniest thing ever.”
“NOT THE EX-GIRLFRIENDS GETTING TOGETHER,” exclaimed another.
Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift’s relationship – a look back
Although the 2008 relationship was short-lived, it’s still engraved in fans’ minds. The couple dated from July – October, and Swift even wrote a song about the relationship ending in November, Forever & Always.
Speaking to People at the time of the release, she said: “[It’s] a song about watching somebody completely fade away in a relationship and wondering what you did wrong.”
She then went on to say the breakup had been “tough” which was confirmed not so long later on the Ellen DeGeneres show. In the jaw-dropping interview, the singer revealed she’d been broken up with on a 25-second phone call.
“When I find that person that is right for me, he’ll be wonderful and when I look at that person, I’m not even gonna be able to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18,” Swift, who is now said to be dating Travis Kelce, iconically told the host.
However, speaking back on the claims, Jonas revealed via MySpace: I called to discuss feelings with the other person.
“Those feelings were obviously not well received. I did not end the conversation. Someone else did. Phone calls can only last as long as the person on the other end of the line is willing to talk.”
