Publish date: 2024-05-21

In March, 2022, is was confirmed that Sharon Osbourne was heading back to the UK to join Piers Morgan’s new network TalkTV.

She took to Twitter to make the announcement, posting a video, saying: “So what I’m really looking for in my co-workers at Talk TV is somebody who is, well, a bit like me.

“Very opinionated, fearless, funny, knows their own mind, not afraid to speak it, unpredictable, maybe a little big dangerous. But also somebody who every time they open their gobby little mouth, it makes global news.”

The launch of the channel has been highly anticipated for months now, as it follows Morgan’s dramatic exit from Good Morning Britain (GMB).

What is Sharon Osbourne’s net worth?

According to celebritynetworth.com, Osbourne is worth a staggering $220 million (£172.5 million).

It also claims her salary is $5 million (£3.9 million), though this is likely based off her previous positions, not TalkTV.

News UK, which owns TalkTV, has not revealed her new salary at the platform.

What is TalkTV?

TalkTV is a new British television channel owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News UK.

Officially launching on April 25, its three premiere shows are The News Desk, Piers Morgan Uncensored, and The Talk.

Why has Sharon Osbourne joined TalkTV?

Osbourne left her previous show, the American TV show The Talk last year.

She was ‘cancelled’ for her support of Morgan after being fired from GMB following his controversial comments about Meghan Markle.

During the TalkTV press event, Osbourne said: "It feels right. I've been very homesick for a while and it's a joy to go back. I'm really excited about it," Sharon said at a TalkTV press event.

"This a whole new thing for me to be involved from the beginning of a network.

"This is just basically the news with different people views on it, experts mainly, and I'm not an expert but I've definitely got an opinion on everything.

"It's new, it's innovative and it's a place for everyone that's interested in what's going on in the world to go to without being told what they should be thinking."
